How to choose the right scooter for youself?
Published on  Updated on

In the environment of traffic jams, rising gasoline prices, and accelerated pace of life, electric scooters have become the optimal choice for many friends because they are fast, low-cost, and space saving. There are many models of scooters in the market. How do we choose the most suitable scooter for ourselves?

There are three things we need to think about:

How fast does the scooter need to be?

How long can it travel per charge?

How to choose different type of shock absorber and tyres based on the terrain?

1.For the first question, here are something we need to know. Speed is mostly determined by the controller and the motor, and it's crucial to choose how many volts and how many watts the scooter has.

Here are the speeds corresponding to scooters with different parameters.

(Actual speed may vary from models.)

volt

watt

speed

48v

350w

30-33kmh/19-21mph

800w

45-50kmh/28-31mph

800w*2

50-55kmh/31-34mph

1200w*2

55-60kmh/31-34mph

60V

2800w*2

70-80kmh/44-50mph

3000w*2

75-85kmh/47-50mph

3500w*2

80-90kmh/50-56mph

72v

4000w*2

90-110kmh/56-70mph

5000w*2

90-120kmh/56-75mph

(higher acceleration)

15000w(motorcycle motor QS brand)

110-140kmh/69-88mph

Note: Different models have fixed matching, please tell the customer service staff of your needs. They will recommend the most suitable for you!

2.For the second question:Scooter range is determined by battery capacity.

(This range is based on a test at 25kmh, the actual range varies from rider’s weight, weight of the scooter and how fast you drive. The faster you drive ,the lower range you will get. )

Battery size

Range

30ah

60-90km/38-56miles

40ah

80-120km/50-75miles

50ah

100-150km/63-94miles

60ah

120-180km/75-113miles

70ah

140-210km/88-131miles

80ah

160-240km/100-150miles

100ah

200-300km/125-188miles

Note:Due to the size of the battery compartment, there are fixed options of batteries for different models. Specific details need to be confirmed with customer service.

3.For the last question: Tyre and shock absorber

Shock absorption type

Effect Levels (Level 4 is best)

spring shock absorber

Level 1

C fork shock absorber

Level 2

hydraulic shock absorber

Level 3

Hydraulic & spring integrated shock absorber

Level 4

According to different terrains, you can choose on-road tyres and off-road tyres based on whether the roads are flat or not.

For shock absorber choosing, shock absorber doesn’t make much difference for city roads. If you drive on mountains, sand & rock roads or other unflat roads mostly, then I would recommend better shock absorber such as hydraulic shock absorber or hydraulic spring integrated shock!

Everyone has their own aesthetics, preferences and ideas, this article is for reference only, feel free to discuss scooters with us. I will analyze it with you for a more professional point of view!
